Christmas & Associates, Inc., have been working very hard throughout the fall and winter, using our own lands, to make the much needed link between the Oswego County snowmobile trail system and the Oneida County system. I am excited to report that we have now secured the acreage or received the land owner's permission to make this connection. As of this weekend, there is the most beautiful, groomed trail through the woods, along ponds and streams to Westdale and the West Camden Country Store, where you can enjoy homemade lunches, baked goods and more!
I personally toured the trail yesterday which is now fully groomed with signs and bridges. The trail through pine woods is especially beautiful with over 20 deer seen along the small streams there.
The T.C. Riders Club is already grooming the perimeter, ridges and trail work to finish the track from the West Camden Country Store through to Oswego County via "the old Williamstown to Camden railroad bed". This trail should be fully operational by next season.
In the meantime, if you want to enjoy of the most scenic rides in Oneida County, take the trail from the Village of Camden to the West Camden Country Store. There, Joe Christmas will greet you with that well known "redhead smile" and a hot bowl of chili with homemade bread.
Happy Trails!
